The Stockton Casting Company makes high integrity, complex castings, including compressors, pumps, blowers and large diesel engine parts. It brings together the very latest technology, world-leading manufacturing skills and the experience of close to three quarters of a century in business to meet the needs of its global customer base.

The company has the flexibility to manufacture a single, bespoke casting — or carry out production runs of up to 10,000, with all products adhering to British and international standards. Thanks to its 3D CAD facility and additional investment in computer assisted simulation systems, it also offers a competitively low fault rate.

Using the latest technology we are able to foster closer working relationships between engineering, design and cast manufacturing, ensuring optimum performance is achieved while being cost effective.

Clients can see in advance exactly how their cast will be poured and cooled and can also be supplied with 3D models of future casts. Casts are available in a spectrum of ferrous alloys and typically weigh between one and 1,500 kilos.

The company has vast experience in supplying quality parts to clients, having been in operation since 1947. It started life as a small foundry producing cupola, melted, grey iron castings and, in 1977, installed medium frequency electric melting capabilities. Further expansion came in 1994 with the installation of two 850KW medium frequency furnaces, each with a 1 tonne-per-50 minutes melting capacity. A third 1500KW furnace was installed in 2015 with a 2 tonne capacity.

Today the company ships parts made in Stockton-on-Tees across the globe, including into the USA and throughout Europe. It also has a network of trusted international associates who can also supply castings which meet its own high standards.
